The Cathedral at Our Lady of Perpetual Help was originally constructed in 1961. Construction of a new 12,000 square foot addition that would blend with the original facility now houses a new modern kitchen, accessible restrooms, a large Narthex, and a multi-functional Parish Hall that seats 988 persons. The exterior stone used to match the existing was obtained from the original quarry, what more can you ask for? The original baptistry was dismantled and reconstructed at a new location on the church. The major task of this involved inventorying each precast section, each marble panel, and every marble floor tile. The final phase renovated the basement to upgrade use, accessibility, and finishes. In total, the new construction took nearly 28 months.
